We need to create huge number of ADSO - as you know frm 7.4/7,5 adso is only generated in eclipse based modelling which takes time in creation.
Any other quick way to get this created via some program ?

How to edit composit provider
Hello Experts,
I have composite provider(XX_CP01) based on calculation view(XX_CV1)
Now I have included 2 calculation columns in calculation view(XX_CV1)
but I am not able to include these 2 calculation columns in existing composite provider(XX_CP1)
by editing. So please suggest next steps to edit composite provider.

ODP based on Advanced DSO
Hello,
I try to load data from one BW (global BW) to another (APO BW).
In the global BW there is a advanced DSO that should be used as a data source for the APO BW. How can I load the data from the global BW (ADSO) into the APO BW?
In the past we used the export data sources of standard DSOs. But nowadays there is no export data source for advanced DSO.
Therefore I tried to use Operational Data Provisioning (ODP) to extract the data. I've created a ODP BW source system successfully, but unfortunately I can create just data sources based on standard DSO, InfoCubes and HANA optimized Cubes but not ADSO.
Is there a solution how to use ADSO in ODP or another usefull workaround to get the ADSO data into the target BW?

Can i write Lookup in Advance DSO
Hi,
I have requirement to fetch the data from ADSO and populate in Master Data.
I am not getting warning for standard DSO but for ADSO i'm getting warning, so not sure whether we can write the lookup for ADSO.
Is there any alternate way to fetch the data without writing lookup from ADSO ?

LSA++ confused with first layer
dear all
i understand most of the principles with the LSA and LSA ++
what i dont understand is where the first DSO(aDSO) sits in the new LSA++ model.
lets imagine i have a source extractor for transactional data. lets say it is going to be loaded via a PSA.
so does the DSO target for the PSA sit in the Operational Data Store Layer, or in the EDW Layer.
is my DSO going to be Write Optimized, or Standard.
when and by what, does the other Corporate Memory DSO get provisioned.
i see that much of the new advanced BI content, load straight into the EDW layer, without any prior DSO. what happened to the Acquisition Layer? is the Data Store Layer the Acquisition Layer ?

how to start re init for ODP enable data source via SLT
Hi Gurus,
I am loading data from
ERP->SLT->BW 7.5 (ODP), so for some tables init was done but later on I need to do re init again - please can someone advice what steps to take in SLT and BW for this.
As re init is not happening and replication getting failed in SLT but log does not shows error.

Replicate ODP Datasources in BW
Hi,
I have to use the ODP Datasources in my BW on HANA system 7.4 SP5.
I do not have knowledge about the ODP datasources.
Can anyone please let me know the following:
1. What is the difference between ODP and normal ECC datasources?
Which are better?
2. Can we create generic extractors as ODP datasouces?
3. How can we replicate the ODP datasources from ECC to BW?

Advanced DSO: Adding InfoObject
Hi all,
I am facing an issue when trying to model an Advanced DSO directly from Eclipse-based BWMT: I am not able to add any InfoObject to ADSO structure. In the "DETAILS" tab, when I choose Add InfoObject no IO appears in the result list.
Moreover, when I add a simple field (no InfoObject field) to the ADSO structure with BWMT, I am not able to see it using RSA1.
Could anyone support me on these issues?

Automatic delete expired backup catalog information
Hello expert,
I wonder to know if there is any method to delete automatically expired backup catalog.
For example, our data backup retention is 21 days and some backup is expired (backup data is deleted by the third party backup tools). However, the information is still exist in the HANA backup catalog.

How to create Composite provider from BW workspace
Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me how to create a composite provider from BW workspace i.e., t-code RSWSP?
I'm able to create a composite provider (by joining central & local provider defined in BW workspace) through t-code "RSLIMOBW". However the already created composite provider is not available/linked with the BW workspace under Composite provider tab.

Error 2.991 has occurred in the SAP HANA/BWA server
Hi everyone,
While working in our BW on HANA environment (7.30 SP9 HANA rev.56) we are having issues with infobject tables.
In this specific case we run a query in RSRT and then right clic on the infobject and from the context menu choose Select Filter Value.
The system goes into Debugging mode and after going through we get the following error message:

Adding BW Modelling plugins in HANA Studio
Hello Experts,
I installed SAP HANA Studio in my local machine (outside C:Program Files, i.e in D Drive)
I followed 2 options to install BW Modelling Tools Plugin, both have been unsuccessful. Can some one please let me know what is missing.
I checked the pre-requisites mentioned in the installation document (http://help.sap.com/download/netweaver/bwmt/SAP_BW_Modeling_Tools_Installation_Guide_en.pdf) and my system has all the necessary ones.
Option 1
- Followed the instructions mentioned in the https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/
- HANA Studio --> Help --> Install New Software --> Provide the link https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna
- I get the below error
Unable to connect to repository https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/luna/content.xml
Connection to https://tools.hana.ondemand.com refused
Option 2
- Download latest patch from Service market place
- HANA Studio --> Help --> Install New Software --> Provide the Archive path
- Error message I get is below,
Missing requirement: BW Core UI 1.6.3 (com.sap.bw.core.ui 1.6.3) requires 'bundle com.sap.adt.destinations.ui 2.18.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: BW DataStore UI 1.6.3 (com.sap.bw.datastore.ui 1.6.3)

SAP HANA Implementation
Hi All,
I have a scenario where SAP BW is not yet implemented and we are evaluating whether we should go to traditional SAP HANA box and build our
Live views (Cubes,DSO's etc.,) or should we go for BW on HANA, we are also planning to have SLT and DS as well if we would like to source in data from different sources.
Can you throw light on this..if there is a need of going for us to go for BW or either BW on HANA system, or we can manage all the Data warehousing stuff in native HANA itself and get the reporting front exposed to BOBJ suite.
Any information, like blogs,white papers show casing discussions both approaches would be ideal for us to decided.
